| Camping is growing by leaps and bounds. It is a sport that is so compatible with many other outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, fishing and hunting. When done correctly and during the right time of year, camping is not only adventurous, it is usually far less costly that the motel you passed up out on the highway. | ||||
| When camping there are certain things that are absolutely mandatory, among them, the tent and the stove. | AIR MATTRESS: | ||||
| The improvements made in air mattresses have done every bit as much toward the promotion of camping as have the improvements in tents. No longer is sleeping on the cold hard ground an option! I have a three-year-old Coleman twin mattress, that I'm not even sure is manufactured anymore. The time to replace it is coming soon. | CAMPING STOVE: | ||||

The stove I chose, well actually it's referred to as a grill, was a Coleman Outdoor Grill and Stove. The little stove and grill served me well through four meals then I cheated and ran to a restaurant in town, due in no way to a fault in the stove. I just got tired of my own cooking! Oh, that's another thing about camping, it helps if you know how to cook. The stove did as it was supposed to do and according to the owners' reviews , it has served others well, also. | |||

| Sudden weather changes need to be known as quickly as possible in order to make plans. The Elton FR250 gets very favorable reviews (4-5 Stars) by those who own one. This is a hand crank radio that does not rely on an external electrical source; just crank the handle about 60-90 seconds and listen to the radio for about an hour. Among other features, this radio can charge your cellphone. |

| Not everything always goes well in any endeavor and I've experienced failures in camping equipment also; some of it was top brand merchandise. You'll note that I don't boast of anything here that has less than a good reputation. If it doesn't work for me, then I have to assume it won't work for others. | ||||
