Ed Walters
What Walters Saw

On November 11, 1987, building contractor, Edward Walters was working late inside his home in Gulf Breeze, Florida when he noticed part of his yard was illuminated. He went to the window and looked up at the source of the light. It was a vessel shaped like a top, hovering above the trees.

He ran outside to get a better look, then back inside to get his camera. He photographed several pictures of the object and then decided to try to get a better, closer vantage point; he went into the street. Once there, the object moved to a point almost directly above him!

The object quickly emitted a blue beam that lifted Ed from the ground, holding him helpless without the ability to move. It was then that Ed heard a voice say, "Don't worry, we will not harm you." Images began to appear in Ed's mind as if the pages of a picture book were being turned. The odor of ammonia and cinnamon filled the air. Ed awoke on the ground and the craft was gone.

The entire episode left Ed in a dilemma. If he told the story, others would think he was insane, but on the other hand, he felt others should know it.

He decided to go to the Gulf Breeze Sentinel on November 17th and tell the editor that the photos and the story were given to him by another person.

The story and especially the photographs made headline news around the world and the mysterious man who had supposedly given Ed the information was debunked. It was accepted that the man who had experienced this was Ed.

Ed's credibility came under sharp attack by non believers. Those who knew Ed and his wife remained loyal to him. - But, it wasn't over for Ed!

On the night of November 20th Ed heard a hum and what sounded like muffled voices coming from outdoors. He ran outside to investigate and saw a small dot of light descending from the sky. He raced back indoors to get his camera and by the time he returned, the dot of light had pulled up and begun to hover. At this time, Ed snapped a photograph of it.

Again, on December 2, Ed was awakened by his dog's barking. He went to look out the windows of his French doors and there staring at him was a creature, about four feet tall with large black eyes. The shock was so great that Ed collapsed on the floor and could not stand for a moment. The creature stared at him for a moment then walked away!

In a few moments, Ed recovered. Of this incident, he is quoted as saying, "I gave chase. As my feet left the shelter of the back porch I was hit by the blue beam and held immobile while the creature fled into the vacant field at the back of my house. As soon as I could move I retrieved my camera and took a picture of the UFO shooting the blue beam into the field. I believe that it was picking up the creature I had seen."
